D.C. Vacation!

Hi all! We left DC today and are now in Williamsburg VA. This was our family's first time in DC and we loved it! We have learned so much. We stayed busy for 3 solid days and still didnt even come close to seeing everything. What rich history we have experienced. We stayed in this awesome 4 star hotel called the Omni Shoreham. We got it at a great deal on priceline and it was close to the metro and everything else we needed. The metro was quite an experience for us...it took some time to get use to the metro..DC is so busy! We were really looking forward to seeing the Smithsonian American History museum but it is still closed for renovations. Here is a list of some of the things we were able to see.
Smithsonian Zoo
Lincoln Memorial
Union Station
Washington Monument
Library of Congress
Capitol
Air and Space museum
Bureau of Engraving and Printing
Smithsonian museum of natural science
Holocaust Museum
I think there was more but it is late and I can't remember. I will post about Colonial Williamsburg after our experience.

Oh this brings back so many memories! DC was one of my favorite trips we ever have taken! I'm so glad you got to experience it to the max! Being close to the metro is a great bonus!
When we were there, Rob was in class and I got my double stroller and the two older ones on the metro by myself and always felt totally safe. A little insane, but totally safe! ;)

Lincoln Memorial alone would be worth the trip for me! How exciting!

Don't you just love it??? Everyone thinks I'm crazy when I tell them how much fun D.C. was when Tristan and I went but it's the truth! Absolutely gorgeous. Mom and Dad went earlier this year for the National Prayer Breakfast and fell in love with it also. They were with my Aunt and Uncle so they really got the fun tour! I was so jealous!!

What a gorgeous family. I saw your bid on Daleea's auction. Truly, what an amazing gift. Your daughter will look gorgeous in that outfit.
