Gully

We noticed Gully was limping about 2 mos ago. We immediately had him checked out by the vet. The vet said he probably had a sprain but just to be safe to take him to an orthopedic vet. Well we did and at first he too thought it was a sprain. Well after further examining the x-ray they thought he might have a tumor. Well we got the biopsy results today and it is for sure a cancerous tumor. There is nothing that can be done for him and he will only have about 2 mos to live. We are controlling his pain with meds and the inflammation with steroids. We are just heart broken. Gully is the sweetest dog and everyone who knows him loves him. He is 2 years old this month. He is a 200 pound English Mastiff(for those of you who dont know him). This is just one of those freak things you dont expect to happen. We are all taking it hard but most of all we just dont want him to suffer.

Hey Tina,
We are so sorry! I will be praying for you. I would just die if we found out something was wrong with our Molly. When I was ten our first dog died of cancer. I will never forget my dad leaving with Brandy to take her to the vet for him to put her to sleep. I will certainly be praying for your kids. Grace and I are coming to Bham tomorrow for her second eye appointment. Maybe next time we can get the kids together.

I'm so sorry for your bad news. Poor Gully. I know how important our pets are...especially in the eyes of our children. I will say a special prayer for your babies that God will give them much grace and comfort. Because this matters to you, it matters to God!
